HOW IT WORKS
So, what happens if we work together?
Step 1: Discovery
After we've said hello, I'll send you a super-short form with a few questions about your project. If you come through my website, you'll fill it in on my Contact page instead.
If I think we're a good fit, we'll have a quick Zoom call to chat about your project, ask each other some questions and get to know each other!
Step 2: Quote
Next, I'll send you a quote that outlines the scope of the project with a rough schedule of project dates (so we can stay on track to meet your deadline).
Step 3: Briefing
When you've approved the quote and paid the 50% commencement invoice, your project is officially locked in my calendar!
I'll send you the copywriting brief questionnaire to fill in, then we'll have a 45-min(ish) call where I'll ask you some questions so I can update the brief with more details and fill any gaps.
Once you've approved the updated brief, I'll put together a bullet-point outline or write a sample of your copy (or both!) for you to approve to make sure I'm on the right track.
Step 4: Research
As well as looking through your copywriting brief for information, I'll research the kind of phrases your ideal customers use*, so your copy really connects with them and builds trust faster.
I'll also analyse your tone of voice, to make sure the copy sounds like you.
*To really understand your audience, we can discuss sending out customer surveys and or doing voice of customer interviews to get their real, unfiltered feedback!
Step 5: Writing
Now it's time to write! Using the brief and my research, I'll write your copy.
Step 6: Revisions
I'll send you the first draft in the agreed timeframe, and you'll have one week to review it and give me any feedback (unless we've made other arrangements). My quotes include two rounds of revisions, so we've got plenty of time to get your copy just right.
You can let me know what to change by adding comments, using Track Changes or making edits in a different colour - whatever's easiest for you.
(Revisions are a normal part of every copywriting project, and your input here is really important.)
Step 7: Finished!
Once I've proofread the copy and you've approved it, we're done. Your copy is ready to be released into the wild!
To wrap up, I'll send you the invoice for the remaining 50%, and you'll have 14 days to pay it.
I'll then ask you for a testimonial so I can help more businesses like yours!
